The Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) is the organisation responsible for the oversight of corporate activity in Australia. It is a well-funded Commonwealth organisation with specialist investigation teams.
When ASIC officers decide to investigate an individual or a company, they have at their disposal a wide range of powers to enable them to fully gather relevant information and documentation.
